ClubKIT is designed for families to be able to socialize actively with other families. ClubKIT is a means to support KIT events and activities with the benefits going back to those who serve.
Anyone who signs up by February 28 will receive all activities in the month of February hosted by KIT for free. The earlier you sign up, the more activities you can join in.
Benefits
All ClubKIT members will receive:
- A ClubKIT Tshirt (organic cotton or dri-fit) and discounts on other KIT clothing
- A bi-weekly e-letter/calendar that will list all scheduled activities by date and area. ClubKIT members choose the ones they want to attend, and they can also sign up for the ones they want to lead. Activities throughout the area, most outdoors such as running, climbing, kayaking, cycling, kickball… anything fun and active!
- KIT 8week workouts – join KIT for a weekly workout designed to get you ready for an upcoming race. Each quarter we will designate an adult and a KIT race to train for. Our next race – The Great Human Race, a 5k on March 27 in Durham.
- Clinics and workouts led by KIT staff and local coaches such as beginner triathlon, first 5k, bike workshops, improvements in efficiency of skills, etc. Some of these clinics may be open to the general public but ClubKIT members will have priority registration and discounts.
Discounts to:
- KIT events and programs
- Partner retailers (Bicycle & Multi-sport shops, Sportswear, Shoes, Activities…)
Volunteer Service
In order for this or any club to run smoothly everyone needs to lend a hand. Not everyone is able to do this so we have structured it in the following way:
In addition to the annual fee, each family must pay a service fee of $150 by check made payable to KIT. Your check will not be deposited until the end of your annual term. If you volunteer 15 or more hours or secure $1,000 or more in sponsorships for that season, your check will be returned to you. For those of you that wish to pay the service fee and not volunteer, those funds will allow us to hire temporary help to man additional ClubKIT activities. Please let us know asap if that is the case. Volunteer hours can be accomplished in a number of ways such as leading ClubKIT activities, KIT races, KIT outreach opportunities working with disadvantaged youth or the general public, securing sponsorship or volunteers, marketing, website maintenance, etc.
It is our goal to have many family-led activities throughout the area. This is a great way to sustain your active life as workouts are normally accomplished if scheduled and both kids and adults enjoy being active with others.
